A grumpy Superman has no idea what’s in store for him.
This particular
Humourless sequel
Was made right after
Man of Steel.

After Superman’s fight
Had killed so many folks,
Batman decides
To go after this bloke.

He gets some assistance
From a Lex Luther fair,
An annoying, unfunny,
Billionaire.

His attempts to intimidate
Fall so flat,
They leave us wondering
Why he chose to do that.

Not content with just Batman
And Superman,
They threw in Doomsday
And Wonder Woman.
“I am Vengeance!”
These two do little
To make us care.
They are mere distractions,
With little flair.

These exact same actors,
With better direction,
Free to use actual
Vocal inflection,

Could have all wowed us
And made us all scream.
Instead, we are sorry
They were ever onscreen.

The Warner execs
Tried a new approach.
Gritty and dark
Was the new way to go.

Dark and gritty?
It’s meaningless
If little emotion
Will come out of this.

It’s badly written
And badly made,
Unfortunate,
Because it could have been great.

A lowly four
Is what it gets.
Don’t waste too much
Time on this.

Jesse Eisenberg, as the least intimidating, least intelligent Lex Luthor.
