This is not a Rocky movie, And only co-stars Stallone, As a sad, old man Who wants to die alone. He has lost everything That matters to him, And now that he is cancer, That’s really it for him, Until one day, Quite out of the blue, The son of Apollo Creed Makes his debut. He tells Rocky His whole life story In the hopes that he Can help him get the glory That he can achieve If he beats the current champ. He wants Rocky to train him, For he was once the Champ. Rocky says no. He just wants to die, And say farewell To his miserable life.
Creed's son keeps begging Till he finally gives in. Rocky begrudgingly Starts training him. He trains like mad To get himself in shape. He takes Rocky’s advice And moves fast as an ape. Eventually, he faces the Champ, Beats him and becomes the new champ. The crowd certainly goes wild, but, Does the audience really care that much? I did not like the character of Apollo's son. I liked him neither a bit nor a ton. Perhaps it was his whiny attitude, But whatever it was, out I tuned. The actor’s all right. I’ve seen him in better. He made a good villain in Black Panther, And you can tell he gives this role his all, But it’s a story that needs to be told not at all. They have changed Rocky’s character, of course. No longer an optimist, he’s more like a dead horse, And yet Sly performed so well He received an Oscar nom as well. This movie’s okay, but don’t let the title fool ya. Is not the story of Rocky Balboa. As a character, Creed isn’t a tenth. I’m rating this a five out of ten.
