Death Wish V: The Face of Death

Death Wish V: The Face of Death

Rating: ******

Directed by Allan A. Goldstein
Starring Charles Bronson

Paul Kersey’s in his seventies.
He can’t move quite as well,
But he’s just as smart as ever
And just as hard to kill.
He’s got a new fiancée
She’s an ex-wife of a mobster
Who hasn’t changed his tune.
He was and is a monster.
The mobster wants his daughter back
And uses force to snatch her.
The ex-wife’s cut up pretty bad.
Mirror shards were used to scratch her.
Naturally Kersey gets pretty mad,
And this time uses poison.
Next he uses a remote-controlled ball
To make a nice explosion.
The Mob is rough and violent,
But Kersey is as well.
He makes the Mafioso cringe
Before sending them to Hell.
This isn’t Charles Bronson’s best,
But it’s pretty entertaining.
You can watch it in the dark
Or outside when it’s raining.
Kersey knows his way around guns
And often fights personal wars.
This movie’s no exception.
I give it three out of four stars.
