Meet Dumbledore Version 2.
The third instalment of any series
Is typically amazing or pure crap.
This film from the Harry Potter series
Keeps its dignity intact.

Harry’s told that a villain
Has escaped from Azkaban,
A prison made for wizards
Designed to keep them in the can.

The villain’s name is Sirius,
And Harry grows to fear him,
But he also fears that the Dementors,
The ghostly guards who stir him.

This new adventure
Has a different atmosphere.
The scenes have an eerie feeling,
And there’s the chill of death in the air.
Hagrid enjoys the great outdoors.
Harry and the other kids
Are more silent and uneasy.
This particular mystery
Will hardly be as breezy.

Harry’s new teacher teaches him
A spell for self defence.
It works against the Dementors
Who are causing him distress.

Despite a different Dumbledore,
New writers and directors,
This movie holds up rather well,
Though it does have its defectors.

It’s another quality chapter
In a quality film series.
It keeps the viewer well-entranced,
And excited rather than weary.

I’m giving this good film a five.
You won’t be disappointed,
Unless you see them out of order,
Which can make your experience disjointed.
Severus doesn’t trust Harry.
