Rocky’s retired from boxing.
He proved his point with the Champ.
He stepped into the ring when the Champion came,
And gained the respect of the Champ,

But the Champ can’t let it slide.
He feels that he was nearly knocked down.
It should be said that he didn’t train
When he faced Rocky in his hometown,

So the Champ goes into training.
He really pushes himself to the limit.
He swears to not let that happen again.
He’ll train every ball joint and digit.

When he challenges Rocky to a rematch,
Rocky is taken by surprise.
He had really thought he was finished
Tangling with this guy,

But he accepts.  It’s a lucky break.
Let’s see what happens this bout.
He decides to train a little differently,
So that differently this match might play out.

A southpaw, Rocky changes his stance
And decides to attack with his right.
He also trains to shadow the champ,
While avoiding his considerable might.

When they face off, they have quite a match,
Literally the match of their lives.
Both have a lot riding on this,
It’s too late to go off and hide.

They have their bout and Rocky wins,
Becoming the newest Champ.
Apollo Creed, his opponent,
Hands over the belt to the Champ.

This movie is pretty decent.
Though not as good as the first,
It’s earned a decent five.
This could certainly have been worse.
